Payment FAQ

1. What Services Do You Offer?

Please Note: These services are offered as-is and come with no guarantee whatsoever.

The payment is for the time required to compile and test the maps on my own Garmin and/or load and test the maps on the MicroSD card you supply (or I do). The cost also, where applicable, covers postage and packing (within the UK).

The maps provided on SD/MicroSD card or offered electronically will only work on the GPSr, not in MapSource or BaseCamp, unless otherwise explicitly stated.

Below is a quick table showing the services offered and maps that are available. More details on each option can be found further down the page:

If you are unsure about anything, then please feel free to email me and I’ll do my utmost to assist you.

[0] This cost is for a single mapset delivered via 1st class post to somewhere in the UK only (if you want maps sent to other destinations or multiple mapsets then please contact me for a price as it will depend on where in the world you are, your Garmin GPSr model, the number and size of the maps, and the number of cards you require.)
[1] This should only be ordered if you know how to install the mapset yourself on a Garmin GPSr, instructions will be supplied. No physical media is supplied, you will be sent a personal  time-limited download link to the requested mapset. These are not to be shared. Please contact me to discuss BEFORE ordering.

If you are unsure about the cost (including delivery outside the UK), then please contact me first, BEFORE paying, otherwise I will get charged twice if you pay me twice for insufficient postage or other costs, thanks.

Payment will normally only be accepted via PayPal (you don’t have to have a PayPal account to pay via PayPal, all you need is to have a valid Debit/Credit card).

If you prefer, you can pay me via Google Wallet and I am investigating other payment options.

Please feel free to contact me via the contact page here if you have any questions.

If you are interested in this service, or for a similar service for maps for other areas of the world, supplied on a MicroSD card, or want them shipped to an address outside the UK, then then please contact me via the email address that can be found here to discuss your requirements and cost. I also now have many happy customers that I have done this for, with no failures to date.

Please ensure that your Garmin GPSr has a MicroSD or SD slot before requesting any of the above offered services. Only Garmin GPSrs are supported, sorry.

A1U Options. You supply the MicroSD or SD[1] card (one off) – Order Code A-1U-STDSM /  A-1U-TT50SM or A-1U-STDSM

This will require that you send me your MicroSD/SD card [suggest a 2GB one]. I will then install the required mapset onto the card and test that it works on my Garmin Oregon 200 [unless it is an SD card] and then return the loaded and tested MicroSD/SD card to you. That is all I will be able to test. If it works fine on my GPSr during testing, chances are it will work fine on yours when you get it back and insert it into your Garmin GPSr. This option is available for both new and existing customers that either want their own card or one I have supplied to have updated maps put on the existing card.

Why do I offer this? Simply because the maps do change quite a bit as more people get involved with the OpenStreetMap initiative.

C-SD Options. I supply a pre-loaded 4GB MicroSD or SD[1] card – Order Code C-SD-STDSM or C-SD-TT50SM.

I can supply a 4GB MicroSD card with MicroSD to SD adapter[*] pre-loaded with the latest requested Mapset (at the time of ordering). This  includes a pre-loaded 4GB MicroSD card with MicroSD to SD adapter (branded name[2]) and postage and packing.

The charge is for the 4GB MicroSD card with MicroSD to SD adapter[*], the time required to copy and test the maps on the MicroSD/SD card and for postage and packing.

D-SD Options. I supply a pre-loaded 8GB MicroSD card – Order Code D-SD-STDSM or  D-SD-TT50SM.

I can supply a 8GB MicroSD card pre-loaded with the latest requested Mapset (at the time of ordering). This  includes a pre-loaded 8GB MicroSD card (branded name[2]) and postage and packing.

The charge is for the 8GB MicroSD card, the time required to copy and test the maps on the MicroSD card and for postage and packing.

E-SD Options. I supply a pre-loaded 16GB MicroSD card – Order Code E-SD-STDSM or  E-SD-TT50SM.

I can supply a 16GB MicroSD card pre-loaded with the latest requested Mapset (at the time of ordering). This  includes a pre-loaded 16GB MicroSD card (branded name[2]) and postage and packing.

The charge is for the 16GB MicroSD card, the time required to copy and test the maps on the MicroSD card and for postage and packing.

F-SD Options. I supply a pre-loaded 32GB MicroSD card – Order Code F-SD-STDSM or  F-SD-TT50SM.

I can supply a 32GB MicroSD card pre-loaded with the latest requested Mapset (at the time of ordering). This  includes a pre-loaded 32GB MicroSD card (branded name[2]) and postage and packing.

The charge is for the 32GB MicroSD card, the time required to copy and test the maps on the MicroSD card and for postage and packing.

[*] I can’t always supply a MicroSD to SD adapter as they are now harder to get with a MicroSD card. Only those GPSrs that require SD cards will be supplied with either an SD card or a MicroSD card with the adapter. If I get them supplied with a MicroSD card I will include them in the delivery.

[1] Please specify which Garmin GPSr Model you wish to use the card with at the time of requesting any of the services offered here.
Garmin Edge 605/705, Legend/Vista Hcx, Oregon, Dakota 20, GPSMap60Cx and Csx all use MicroSD only, the Colorado uses SD cards only (or MicroSD in a MicroSD to SD adapter).
[2] The cards I purchase are usually Kingston or SanDisk.

2. How Do I Pay You?
The simplest way is to use the Order Page or the Donate button, which can be found at the foot of all the main pages on this site. Then fill out the amount you wish to donate or pay me for the services I offer. You don’t have to have a PayPal account to pay via PayPal, all you need is to have a valid Debit/Credit card.

Otherwise, if you have a verified PayPal account, simply go to the main PayPal site, log in, and then click on the Send Money tab and fill out the form as seen below in the example screenshot (assuming you are buying a pre-loaded 4GB MicroSD card with MicroSD to SD adapter or just the pre-loaded 4GB MicroSD card, if you are the price is currently 23 UK Pounds).

Please make sure you type my email address correctly as otherwise I won’t get notified and you’ll end up paying someone else by mistake. If in doubt use the donate button instead as this will pre-fill the correct email address.

If you are giving a donation please use the Donate button (thank you for your support, please use the Personal tab, otherwise I get charged by PayPal). If you are paying for the British Isles/GB/Ireland Contours mapset to be loaded onto your own supplied MicroSD/SD (please use the Purchase tab), you can still use the Donate button if you prefer.

Please ensure you include your FULL postal address, Garmin GPSr model, the Mapset(s) you require and the Order Code, thanks.

Most orders are processed within 24-48 hours of receipt.

If you really get stuck using my order page, then please contact me and I will send you an invoice for the goods/service you require, including any extra charges for postage, etc. This needs to be paid before I process your order.

Before contacting me to check on your order status, please check your email spam folder, as many email services may erroneously see the email as spam. This will save your time, and mine.
